allow users to change the date format from mm/dd/year to dd/mm/year because not all parts of the world use the default date format. Thanks!

Even better, do 08-Dec-2018. Or 2018/12/08. Much less ambiguous.

I am using UK locale, have been ever since. All my other apps show as dd/mm so I'm not sure why this app isn't doing so

I get date in dd/mm/You format. I assume your base currency is not set to your country?

In my app it shows all dates in my local format (dd/mm/yyyy). Are you sure you have your phone's locale set correctly?
