Absolutely necessary - what is the point of managing our finances if not ultimately to increase net worth?? But what makes the current situation worse is that Wallet shows our loan accounts (liability) without displaying the corresponding assets, such as house, car, etc.

This is a significant limitation with Wallet. Because it only manages income & expenses, not assets & liabilities, you can't use it to keep track of your net worth. For many people, the ultimate goal is to increase net worth.

What makes it worse is that Wallet shows your home loan account but doesn't show the value of your house. So because it displays the liability (loan) without the corresponding asset (house), the Balance tab under Statistics gives a very distorted picture of your financial situation!
